Double Jeopardy - 8yr Mistrial

This is the oldest release of our flagship offering and most award-winning whiskey, taking back-to-back Gold Medals at the 2023 & 2024 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. 

This whiskey is a rare, unknown mashbill that should have never been made and can never be recreated.  It has been re-barreled in a second NEW level 4 char barrel, to give it its deep rich color and bold taste.  8 years ago, it had a unique barrel entry proof of 112, with this release being bottled at cask strength of 119 proof. 

Three special low yield barrels were carefully selected and blended into a single barrel to marry until bottling.  

Nose:  Sweet antiqued oak, brown sugar, salted caramel, creme brûlée, toasted marshmallow, cocoa, maple donut, cream soda, cola, cherry, citrus, buttercream, and Texas Sweet Tea.

Palate:  Sweet oak, cola, brown sugar, crème brûlée, chocolate, cherry, lemon and orange citrus, vanilla buttercream, maple, cinnamon, nutmeg, sweet tea, mint, and leather.

Finish:  Oak, cola, charred brown sugar, cherry licorice, crème brûlée topper, maple, tea, mint, buttercream, orange and lemon citrus, cinnamon, nutmeg, and leather.
