“Won By A Nose!” is our 2025 Kentucky Derby Tribute bottle.  It pays homage to the 151st renewal of the most exciting 2 minutes in sports.  This is an 8.5 year 36% rye bourbon with stand-out aromatics on the nose, that was selected in tandem with the upcoming 2025 Kentucky Derby running on the first Saturday in May.  This barrel beat out other stellar barrels in contention by a small margin and is the perfect expression to commemorate “The Run For The Roses!”  The metallic gold and deep red sealing wax scheme is a tribute to the gold trophy and blanket of red freedom roses awarded to the winner of America’s Greatest Race.

Nose:  Sweet oak, orange zest, caramel, cocoa powder, peanut butter, buttercream, mint, honey, molasses, lemon citrus, and baking spice.

Palate:  Viscous orange oil, vanilla buttercream, caramel, peanut butter, cocoa, lemon, tea, mint, honey, molasses, and baking spice. 

Finish:  Orange, citrus, caramel, peanut, cocoa, molasses, lemon citrus, anise, sassafras, wintergreen, tea, and pepper.

Notes of root beer can be detected from the empty glass.
